I saw District Nine. I liked it. I think it has some great merits as a pure movie - it has a good, tight plot, it has solid action, and it has good commentary. Of course, there are people criticizing that commentary, and ( I have spoilery thoughts about that. )

I read the chapter "In Camp" of Richard Plant's Pink Triangle: The Nazi War Against Homosexuals for history today. It makes me uncomfortable that homosexuals had the highest mortality rate in the concentration camps, but when we focus on the deaths during that period, it's all about the Jews ( Read more... )
